Technical Writer – Tenant Insurance Compliance Engine

We are seeking a contract Technical Writer to produce a complete documentation package for a Tenant Insurance Compliance Engine built on Azure. This role will work closely with engineering leads to document system architecture, data flows, infrastructure, and operational workflows across three key components: Power BI Dashboards, Azure-based Automation & Processing, and Terraform-provisioned Infrastructure.

The documentation will support onboarding, maintenance, and handoff to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Scope of Work:

• Document system architecture, including Azure Functions, data lake workflows, and integration with the Cubby platform

• Create data flow diagrams illustrating nightly ingestion, compliance evaluation, notification logic, and automation triggers

• Detail Azure deployment configurations including function apps, storage accounts, environment variables, and networking components

• Prepare user and operational guides for Power BI dashboards used to monitor tenant insurance compliance

• Ensure clarity, consistency, and accessibility of all documentation for diverse audiences (e.g., IT, operations, execs)

Required Skills:

• Experience documenting cloud-native systems, preferably on Microsoft Azure

• Proficiency creating technical diagrams (e.g., architecture, data flows) using tools like Lucidchart, Draw.io, or Visio

• Familiarity with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code concepts

• Ability to translate complex technical processes into clear, structured documentation for both technical and business users

• Experience collaborating with engineering teams on real-world deployments
